Item req's
Hi all,
I've had a look around the site, but can't seem to find an answer to the following question: Is there any benefit in having more attribute points than a weapon/item requires. For example, if I have 12 Marksmanship as a ranger, and my bow requires 8, would I do any more damage than if it was a req. 12 bow? Furthermore, does the same rule apply to other classes, eg Warriors? Many thanks, Matt P.S. Also, could anyone list the range of the different classes of bow (I don't mean skins, just classes, such as longbow, shortbow, hornbow...) from longest range to shortest? Thanks again. |

Well, the more marksmanship you have, the more damage you skills will do, such as ignite arrows. To answer your question, no, it doesn't do anything, I don't think. My warrior has 15 swordsmanship, but my sword only requires 10 swordsmanship. Since I have such high swordsmanship, my skills do much more damage. It is always better to have more. Before you go higher on one type of attribute than you need to, make sure all of your other requirements for shields or focus items are as high as they need to be. Then you can go higher than you need to. There is no point in having 7 strength if your shield requires 9. Good luck!!!

Generally, the low requirement stuff sells for more because people don't have to waste their attribute points. I have seen a fiery dragon sword with req 12 sell for something and a req 8 sell for 10 times as much. Your welcome for the reply. I will be playing GW on Wednesday (i live in AZ) after 3:00PM, so go ahead and give me a PM in the game if you need any help with missions or quests, i would be happy to help. How far have you got in the game? I can help you with a lot of stuff. I have a lvl 20 monk/warrior and a lvl 20 warrior/ranger, so I am very skilled and i am just plain out good at the game. My favorite thing to do is help people out by powerleveling and fighting through missions with them. I am here to help. Do not hesitate to PM me, bye and good luck!!!

Thanks.
I'm pretty confident at the game myself - my W/Me can comfortably farm 6-8 Hydras outside Augury alone, so I'm no noob (but by no means pro either ). My ranger could do with a hand tho - he's just got out of the jungle, and it's hard to get people for Riverside and Sanctum missions - I'll add you to my friends and if you're about when I am, I'll give you a shout!
